Abstract Art For Teenagers Why Was There So Little Fantasy Or Abstract Art Before The 20th Century?

Why was there so little fantasy or abstract art before the 20th Century? - abstract art for teenagers

Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell me why it took so long for Western artists, from trying to move realistically at the world and move to more fantastic art or abstract, as we have in the 20 Century view. I know that it is a small degree of imagination as the prior art, such as works of mythological and surrealist painters such as Hieronymous Bosch, but do not understand why there is not much more than that over the centuries.

Oh, but there was! Fantasy and fantastic animals were common in the art from 2500 BC to now. From the 5th Century AD, as a result of the introduction of Christianity, this kind of representation was regarded as blasphemy and amended in secret or iconography, to express the Christian faith is built.

In some places, like England, Wales and Ireland, fantasy and abstract art for a long time after 1200 and the early Middle Ages, it was hard to do, because he at that time there was virtually no art, not a Christian.

Destroyed So to answer your question much of the art we were talking about, or by the prevalence of Christianity in Europe under the water, killing many indigenous peoples and the decline of the Roman Empire. Art that does not leave before the Renaissance, and even then it took time for fear and stiffness disappear and again the way for fantasy.

In 2500 BC, the Celts were known to have painted in symbolic representations of hybrid animal in the rocks - birds with hooves and horns and skulls of animals, melting and mixing with human forms. Later, these forms fully integrated linear style of art node may need to be sure, by definition, now as a summary.

It was followed by the creation of illuminated manuscripts, decorated or hand-written versions of the Christian Bible.

Following the spread of Christianity in the early fantasy was last year was the Bible, is hosted and abstract architecture of the churches. Some of my favorite examples are the scenes that illustrate Jonah and the whale. The "fish" in the story was later interpreted as a whale and displayed the animal like a snake like creature of the sea monster.

In the art of the early Christians, the pupils were often associated with animal spirits that represent their character traits, directly related to the animal or symbol of the indigenous peoples of the region in context. It was a help for people who could not read and have not yet been implemented. You can watch PicturE, and we know that, for example, the bull was a symbol of St. Luke. Sometimes, in fact, the human body with the head of the animal. Overall, fantasy art style.

It was shown again by the year 1400 in the Czech art of the saints. Master Theodoric was a madman with a little beef looks over his shoulder with wings Lucas.

Sorry, I'm very excited.

I disagree. I think they had a lot of imagination imagry before our century! The thing is, but not as many artists as it was in those days, not to mention that we have the Internet. We see, recognize, and the creation of art today that people can later re-passed. Even women couldnt create art at that time was one thing above all, Mans. Today, women not only art but also children and adolescents. We also have the option of the diversity of art inspired today as compared to only show the artist as da Vinci, Michelangelo or Maisse.

I think the advent of photography is ultimately responsible for the collection of abstract art. In photography, to capture images more realistic, the same need people and events that presented by the linear representation in the visual arts did not exist.

No way, I am sure that the projection of the famous painting by Edouard Manet, titled "Luncheon on the Grass" in the hall of Paris rejected in 1863 - an event that is assumed by many that the "case that revolutionized the visual arts, and marked the beginning of modern art - has followed the footsteps of the discovery and development of photography. The photo was enlarged in 1826 by a French chemist named Nicéphore Niépce timely detected passively recording the image of an outdoor stage and be developed. His collaborator Louis - JM Daguerre refined art and photography was officially invented in 1837. In 1860, the snapshot has been created and color photographs appeared in 1873.

The exhibition of Edouard Manet was a success, "Scandahim, "that defied and broke a sufficient number of old rules, the separation of the visual arts of the dictatorship, which had been forced to move, too. Visual Arts had previously controlled by the art academies, sometimes known as" The Academy ", not only gives the field of art, but also the conditions laid down affected the tools, media and other aspects. It has even been able to "discriminate on the basis of the artist nationality and religion in general, so that only people who use the established religion of a country belong to professional artists. For example, you see very little about Jewish artists known figures such as surface painting, sculpture and architecture until the advent of modern art.

It is doubtful that the art of the past never really taken pictures realistic, despite his insistence on precision linear and realistic representation of the form. Baroque art and forms with similar ideas, inspiration, greater emphasis on the color accuracy than linear. TheThe subject was generally high, and consisted mainly of religious, royal and aristocratic mythical figures, with the exception of art in the Netherlands and Belgium. They do not represent ordinary people a lot. It is often distorted, Mannerism, Baroque and Romantic figures in particular. Masterpieces of Renaissance and Baroque and Neo-Classical, were still too much life to be regarded as realistic. The figures of baroque music, in my opinion, have been too big tits really what people in manual work and physical work and not an abundance of food would be released at the time.
